Well, that was a surprise! This week saw the announcement that Bonnie Langford will reprise the role of Melanie Bush in the series of Doctor Who alongside Ncuti Gatwa’s 15th Doctor Who! Sadly the news broke too late for us to cover in any great detail, but Phil and James do discuss briefly at the top of the episode.

Michele then joins James to talk about the latest trailer, the titles of the upcoming specials and the latest casting news.

And feedback! We have a brand new Facebook Group (20 years late, we know) so we talk about some of the messages our wonderful listeners have been posting.

Then – it’s soapbox time! James and Michele talk about the Ninth Doctor range from Big Finish Productions. It’s been a while since we had a chinwag about the output from Big Finish without reviewing a specific release. So how has Christopher Eccleston’s return to Doctor Who landed with fans now we have nine box sets?!

Join us later this month for part two of our series, Once and Future Review! Chapter Two is being released on 14 June – our review will be online as soon as possible after that!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Yes it’s been a while since Power of the Doctor aired! We’d intended to take a break after Jodie’s era came to an end, but not two and half months! We have recorded Episode 350 – a Christmas Special to fill the void!

However, sadly we have no way of publishing it due to a significant technical issue we have been desperately trying to fix over that last couple of days. It looks like we are going to have to admit defeat for now – but do keep an eye on your feed, as soon as we are back up and running the special will be online and ready for your ears.

Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but have a wonderful Christmas and we’ll be back as soon as we’ve found the cybermat clogging up the workings of the Campervan!

Join Phil, James and Adam (from the wonderful Staggering Stories podcast) from the South Bank of the Thames for a special live episode of the DWP! The trio were lucky enough to attend today’s screening of The Time Meddler at the British Film Institute to mark the upcoming release of Season 2 (the ORIGINAL season two you might say!) on Blu ray!

Enjoy the show!
