In response to requests from many of our listeners the DWP presents the first part of our two-part nostalgia trip through the DWP hosts favourite Doctor Who stories.
Trevor, Tom and James will sort through each era of Doctor Who and pick out some of their personal favourites.
This episode we cover the first six Doctors. Watch out later in the week for the conclusion to our stroll down memory lane.

On the review front for this episode Trevor and James look at two classic era DVD releases from 2Entertain – The Awakening and Frontios. These oft neglected stories from Peter Davison’s final season as the Doctor have been given the DVD treatment and are ready to be appreciated by a whole new generation of fans.
We also take a look at the second episode from the new series of Torchwood, Miracle Day – Rendition.

James and Trevor are in review mode this week as they tackle a recent box set from those bods at 2Entertain.
The Mara Tales set, comprising the stories Kinda and Snakedance from the Peter Davison era have been released in a shiny cardboard case. James has already laid his cards on the table numerous times in professing his love for these two snakey stories, but what does Trev think?
We also take time to review the first episode from the new series of Torchwood.

It is not often we can bring you something this exciting and exclusive on The Doctor Who Podcast. This episode though is very special as we interview what was possibly the youngest writer ever to write for classic Who – Mr Andrew Smith.
At the tender age of 17, Andrew had his story, Full Circle commissioned and turned into the story we know and love today.
James had the opportunity to speak with him recently about his experiences writing for Doctor Who.

Well, The Aztecs stand even today as one of the most shining examples of Doctor Who. It is a story that fulfils Doctor Who’s original mandate to educate, whilst at the same time it entertains.

No sooner had the recent Gallifrey 22 convention finished that we heard of the sad passing of Nicholas Courtney, most famous for playing Brigadier Alastair Lethbridge Stewart in the classic series of Doctor Who.
Nicholas gave so much to the program whilst playing the Brig that it would be remiss if we did not spend some time looking at the his contribution to Doctor Who.

When we are not recording the latest amazing episode of The Doctor Who Podcast, the titanic trio are on the DWP forums marvelling at a thread that has grown, Krynoid like, since Matt Smith took over the reigns as the Doctor.
The thread in question is the Who is River Song thread. In this magic part of the forum, our members have been wondering, discussing and disecting various theories, information and flights of fancy over who the character of River Song really is.
We thought it was time the podcast weighed in our ideas as well as discussing the ideas already present.
To round off the episode, James and Trevor review the DVD release for a classic Tom Baker story, The Seeds of Doom.
