The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #271: Season 8 Preview: SPOILERS!

Yes, it’s here. It’s our spoiler special preview of Series Eight! In case you didn’t get it from the title, this episode does not hold back in discussing all the recent chatter doing the rounds on the interweb. Rumours, conjecture and no fewer than three Kooky Theories of the Week make up this week’s DWP. That said, Leeson and James don’t really know much anyway so how spoilery this episode is is arguable anyway! Just to set the boundaries up front - neither Leeson or James have read the leaked scripts or watched the partially complete episodes. Spoilerphobes of any dispostion are safe up until the very clear warning. We’ll be back as quickly as we can be after Deep Breath airs on Saturday. Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #270: Remembrance of the Daleks

Join James, Leeson and Luke from the Minute Doctor Who Podcast as they chat about wobbly daleks and a shouty Davros. Ian and Michele chime in with their review of Other Lives as they continue their onslaught through Big Finish's Eighth Doctor, Charley and C'rizz stories. We'll be back next week with our preview of series eight!  Not long to go now.....

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #269: The Five, perhaps Six, Doctors

All manner of Doctors are discussed on this weeks edition of The Doctor Who Podcast. Tom, Leeson and Michele talk Capaldi, Tennant, Smith, Troughton, Baker.  I am sure even Trevor Martin gets mentioned, at least once. Quite a packed little episode topped off by a review from Ian and Michele of Big Finish's Fourth Doctor and Leela story, The Crooked Man. Enjoy.

The Doctor Who Podcast: Re-Cutting The Key to Time 4 – Extra Time!

What?! You thought we’d concluded our Re-Cutting mini-series? Well, to be honest, so did we! But we received a fantastic piece of feedback from our friend Martin Spallacey which we just couldn’t ignore! Thanks Martin for wrapping up the series so nicely. And in any case, how could we resist the chance to play Leeson’s fantastic theme tune just one more time? Well, okay. Twice more. The beginning and the end. Yes. Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #268: Talking Daleks

Join James and Trev as they travel back to 1985 and talk Daleks. Revelation of the Daleks to be precise. But before they make the short-hop to Necros, they discuss last week’s announcement that Deep Breath will screen in cinemas across the globe, talk about Big Finish adapting some of Virgin’s Missing and New Adventures books and head into the annex where Ian and Michele wax lyrical about Big Finish’s Eight Doctor and Charley play, Scaredy Cat. Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #267: Getting the band back together!

Join James, Trevor and Tom as their individual virtual space timelines finally converge.  And strangely, they have nothing structured to discuss.  But since when did that stop them? Sit down and grab your e-ticket to the reunion of the original DWP line-up for the first time in over a year. And fear not - Ian and Michele return to represent the sane faction of the DWP presenting team in their review of the second story in the most recent season of Fourth Doctor and Leela Big Finish plays, White Ghosts.

The Doctor Who Podcast: Re-Cutting The Key To Time 3 – The Power of Kroll and The Armageddon Factor

Join Stephen and Ian as they conclude our mini-series looking back at the Key to Time season.  And for those of you who have been asking, the theme tune for this seies was put together by our very own Leeson Fischer.  Stay tuned for an extended version of it at the end of this episode.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #266: Sssshhhhh, spoilers!

The DWP turns its collective eye towards the news of the upcoming Series 8. There is talk of spoilers.  There is talk of leaked scripts.  There is talk of trailers.  In fact, there is quite a lot of talk.  Not unusual for a podcast mind, but... my word there is a lot of talk in this episode. Even with all that talk, listeners can rest assured that they will remain undamaged (even if their ear drums do not) from any spoilers for the new series.  We keep you spoiler free because we care. And also because we don't know anything. Enjoy the show!

The Doctor Who Podcast: Re-Cutting The Key To Time 2 – The Stones of Blood and The Androids of Tara

Join James and Stephen Elsden in part two of our special mini-series revisiting The Key to Time series. This time, The Stones of Blood and The Androids of Tara are put under the DWP microscope.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #265: Regenerations 10: The Time of The Doctor

Join Leeson, Ian and Michele as they travel back in time to Christmas last year, when the second of the two highly anticpated 2013 Matt Smith episodes aired for the first time.  Has the relatively short period since broadcast had an impact on the Campervan's occupants opinion of the story? Has the seven months been kind to it?!  Find out in the final instalment of our Regenerations Series! Ian and Michele also dive into a new Big Finish range, the third series of the Fourth Doctor plays.  This time around, The King of Sontar is put under the microscope.

The Doctor Who Podcast: Re-Cutting The Key To Time 1 – The Ribos Operation and The Pirate Planet

Welcome to a brand new series of mini-DWPs!  In Re-Cutting The Key to Time, good friend of show, Mr Stephen Elsden shares his thoughts about the stories that comprise The Key To Time season. Long term DWP listeners (yes, there are a few!) will remember Stephen from our 7th Heaven and Re-Trial of a Time Lord featurettes where he talked about watching classic episodes of Doctor Who for the very first time many years after their original transmission. In the first episode, he talks to James about The Ribos Operation and Ian about The Pirate Planet. And this is in addition to your regular weekly DWP – we’ll be back next week with Episode 265!

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #264: Regenerations 9: The End of Time

Join James, Stephen, Tom and very special guest Kyle Anderson as they convene to discuss the much maligned tenth Doctor swan-song, The End of Time. This story has is supporters – it finished 82nd in the recent poll by Doctor Who Magazine – higher than A Christmas Carol, higher than The Snowmen and (criminally) higher than The Twin Dilemma; but do this week's campervan occupants rate it?! If you like sane, sensible and measured anaysis rather than our usual ramblings, Kyle regularly contributes to The Nerdist, usually about Doctor Who but he does dare to go off topic on occasion. He is also a co-host on both the Doctor Who: The Writers Room and WTF Are You Watching?! podcasts – go check out his stuff! Join us next week when we get all Christmassy again (yes, in July) as we take on Time of the Doctor in our penultimate Regenerations review.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #263: Regenerations 8: Utopia

Join Leeson and James and they take a look at the first new series non-Doctor regeneration story, Utopia.  Just how wonderful was Derek Jacobi?!  Masterful.  They also go through the tail end of the questions that you wonderful listeners have sent in for us to answer.  And the mystery of where Leeson comes from is cleared up once and for all. Ian and Michele are back as they review the last Big Finish Eighth Doctor and Charley play set in the Divergent Universe, The Next Life. Join us next week for the next in our Regenerations series – it has the word ‘Time’ in it. And ‘of’. Hmmm.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #262: The Questions That Must Be Answered!

Join James and Trevor as they work their way through the questions you wonderful listeners have sent in! Yes, we take a break from our Regenerations series to deal with the burning issues you've asked us to tackle - for example, where precisely *does* Leeson fare from? And how many listeners does the Doctor Who Podcast have?! Oh yes, nothing but the key issues of the day here! The Doctor Who World Tour also gets some airtime - will Trev be making the cross-continental trip to Sydney to hear what Peter Capaldi has to say?  Will James travel one mile into London to hear about Mr Moffat's Masterplan?! Tune in to find out.....! Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #261: Regenerations 7: The Twin Dilemma

Join James and Leeson as they sit down to enjoy Colin Baker's first full outing as Ol' Sixey, The Twin Dilemma.  Consistently voted the worst Doctor Who story of all time, does the story get any love thrown it's way at all?  Tune in to fine out! Ian and Michele reach Caerdroia and the end of the fourth series of 8th Doctor and Charley Big Finish stories. Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #260: Regenerations 6: The Caves of Androzani

Join Trev, Michele and Tony in the DWP Campervan as they talk about the most jolly, happy and positive Doctor Who story of all time. Hooray! Ian and Michele continue their trek though the Eight Doctor and Charley plays from Big Finish, and reach The Last. No, not the last play, the play *called* The Last. Geddit? Good! Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #259: Regenerations 5: Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways

Join Michele, James and Luke from The Minute Doctor Who Podcast for Part Five of our Regenerations series, our first from the modern era, Bad Wolf and Parting of the Ways. Ian also pops in to join Michele to discuss the first in the fourth series of Eighth Doctor and Charley Big Finish plays, Faith Stealer. Enjoy the show.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #258: Regenerations 4: Planet of the Spiders

Join James, Michele and Ian as they talk about Jon Pertwee's and the third Doctor's final story, Planet of the Spiders.  How does this story stand up compared to the other farewell stories? And just who is afraid of spiders anyway?  Along with some listener feedback and the announcement of the winner of the Tenth Planet DVD competition, what more could you ask for? Well okay then, since you insist: Ian and Michele also review the final story in the third series of Eighth Doctor and Charley Big Finish adventures, The Twilight Kingdom.

The Doctor Who Podcast Episode #257: Regenerations 3: Time and the Rani

Join Michele, Ian and Tony for malapropisms, spoons and of course, the Tetrap Rap as they take a nostaligic look back at Time and the Rani. What, you've never heard of the Tetrap Rap? Ian and Michele then shunt off into the Divergent universe to review The Natural History of Fear as they approach the end of the third series of Eight Doctor and Charley plays from Big Finish. Join us next week for the listeners choice of Regeneration stories – that might just include arachnids. Brrrr.
