Please use this to discuss the tenth episode of Miracle Day. To avoid possible spoilers, the episode title will be added closer to broadcast.

Normal spoiler rules apply. Readers should assume this thread will contain spoilers for all previously broadcast episodes of this series and for this episode as soon as it has aired in the US.

Oh sweet RTD! This has been such a glorious finale full of hair raising craziness / stupidity it made me laugh so hard on several occasions.

There are so many things wrong about storytelling and the pace of the series of TW, I can´t even begin.
The new characters are almost all completely douchbags or incompetent to the end, making hair-raising stupid decisions. The revelations between ep 1 and 9 are unnecessary to the plot and the final revelation of who and what is responsible is so utterly, utterly stupid. So the blessing was literally the earth´s crack which was alive and meant well after being fed with Jack´s blood? At this point ,even Lord Xenu would have made the same amount of sense.

The Blessing just "is" - no explanation, no real masterplan from the families, just a huge amount of shoulder shrugging and shoving it in our faces. There take it and don´t expect something meaningful.
The whole series lacked an antagonist that could be taken seriously - and having such an anticlimax is the final nail in the coffin. The families are a bad joke and never came around as being more than idiots (standing around and doing nothing in the so called climax for example).
Esther´s death is infuriating - she and Vera are victims to the plot and are sacrificed for sheer shock value. Instead, we have the typical action-hero Rex survive normally mortal wounds not only once but twice in the same episode!
Gwen has become the ultimate monologuing machine, spewing out utterly stupid platitudes. Jack did next to nothing and Danes was wasted in the whole as a character...

Good Grace - that was such a big waste of time...

Yes, well delk said it just about all for me.  What a clutter of mediocrity.

Well, that was it.
On the whole, I thought it was OK, but as I said before, it all took much too long. This should have been a feature film, maybe two or two and a half hours long, then it would have been much more palatable. As it is now, I expected a much better explanation of everything after ten weeks.

I mean, why was everyone who knew anything about it so anxious to blow themselves up?
What is the Blessing? No, seriously, what is it?
Why is Nana Visitor so much more ugly here than she was in DS9? (Oh, sorry, personal)
Why the furnaces? what do they hope to achieve with those?
And how did the Families find out about the Blessing? How did they discover that if they fed it Jack's blood, it would give the world immortality? I mean, even if Jack's blood would be special, which it isn't.
And why did they burn down the blood banks in Shanghai and Buenos Aires? What is it with blood?
And of course, why did Rex become immortal? Because of Jack's blood (which is impossible, because Jac's blood is nothing special) or because of something the Blessing did, and if so why?

Come on, questions like that should all have been answered in a series this long. Why didn't they bother?

A reasonably strong episode, but after a fairly lacklustre series it really needed to knock it out of the park to bring it back and it was a long way short.
