News:

Coming up in Episode 208.......it's almost here! After 7 episodes and nearly two months of Doctor Who on Saturday evenings, the final episode of series 7 airs this coming weekend. Join us in the campervan as we review THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR!  My money's on Bruce.....

Feedback always welcome (keep it brief!) at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com - audio feedback under two minutes is prefered and stands a far better chance of making it onto a future DWP.

Thanks guys - will check if my car has an aux in.  Its a 07 Peugeot 307 if that helps!

Hmm, there's a good chance that a car that new would have one. Looking online though there's not much in the way of kits for the 307. The only thing I could find is a Denison icelink

http://www.carstereos4u.co.uk/peugeot-ipod-iphone-car-kit/gw16pc1-dension-gateway-100-ipod-iphone-interface-adaptor-for-peugeot-207-307-308-407-607-807-2126619-314032-.php

Nice solution, makes your ipod into a virtual CD changer, so you can control playlists from the radio, including steering wheel controls if you have them. Plus it should display track info on the radio. Not cheap though :/

02, hmm, never seen anything in glove box. Will look!

You're probably out of luck with an 02. Should be fairly easy to check though, AFAIK ford radios have a single button labelled 'Aux' in the facia if there is an Aux in, (as opposed to a 'source' button which cycles though inputs like say a Renault). So if you have no Aux button you have no aux in.

If the button is there, check the glovebox carefully, but the button is no guarantee the cable has been fitted, especially on older cars. But the presence of a button makes it very likely you can buy a suitable cable and install it yourself.

However, if you have no button your options are more limited and generally depend on what radio you have. The lower spec radios which have the option of an external CD changer can be given an icelink type interface similar to the Dension I posted above for James. However, if you have a Ford original in-dash CD changer (i.e. a single CD slot you feed the discs into) I beleive you are stuck as there are no inputs at all on the back of the unit. It's somewhat ironic that buying the top of the range radio back when the car was new gives you less options now!

Anyone know why the DWO WhoCast seems to be on hiatus?  They're usually first out of the gate with a review episode, yet they haven't put out a cast in over two weeks now.

Well, by now Seb's wife must have had her baby - it was due around now.  Seb has tried putting a microphone in the bubs hands but it keeps falling out.  And big cheesy baby grins do not translate well to the audio medium.

Paul has some personal issues presently which is keeping him from doing the show.

Aww, that's great news for Seb!  New babies indeed trump podcasts.  I'll look forward to their return when life calms down for the DWO lads.  Cheers for the info, Trev!

It will involve Dr Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as Primeval and of course The Protectors!
We have done a few test runs and they have worked smoothly, so if you wanna have a listen to it, the link is below! The first episode should be up shortly!

Since no one's posted a massive list o'podcasts lately, I thought I'd provide mine:

Doctor Who
DWP
DWO (mainly for the archives, since it seems to be dormant at the mo)
2MTL
The Oodcast
Radio Free Skaro
The 20mb DW Podcast

Humor
The Bugle
Car Talk
The Nerdist
The Stephanie Miller Show
Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me

Other
Best of the Left
Fresh Air
Radiolab
This American Life

And before you ask, no, I'm nowhere close to being caught up on these.

My current subsciptions are:
DWP (obviously)
DWO
Bigger on the Inside (Fortnightly Who viewing marathon cast featuring two American fans--one long-time fan and one "newbie".  They're currently mid-way through the Pertwee era.  Very entertaining.)
The MuppetCast
Sesame Street Video Podcast

I also will selectively download shows/interviews from National Public Radio here in the U.S.  I tend not to subscribe to them though, because I'd never keep up.

Over the past couple of months, I've added the Flashing Blade and Two Minute Time Lord to my subscriptions and have been making my way through their back episodes.  I've just downloaded a couple of Trev's Fantragic podcasts to sample as well.
