Agreed - this is superb and is getting a heck of a lot of play on my ipod!  Highly recommended.

I think the last album I bought may have been The Best of Slim Dusty, as a present for my brother-in-law.  That or Gorillaz.

Jim Croce Greatest Hits.  But that wasn't something that really got me passionate like the one before.  Best album I've purchased in a LONG time is Mumford and Sons - Sigh No More.

My last purchase was a Doctor Who related album - A Christmas Carol. Gotta love that Catherine Jenkins :)

Since returning to my mother country (England) I have been living in an area with 5 charity shops, so my book and CD shelves are expanding again. Most recently I bought Portishead's eponymous 2nd album, Hatful of Hollow by the Smiths and a 2 disc compilation called Unbelievable which appears to be mostly Madchester. Other great purchases have included Ian Dury's greatest hits, The Blood Donor/The Radio Ham by Tony Hancock and, surprisingly better than I expected, Dee-Lite's World Clique.

My recent purchases include series 1 and 2 of the Sherlock soundtracks and the 'definitive' 6 disc collection of John Williams' music.

White Lion - Pride. Yeah, that's right. 80's hair band. Got it for a buck at non-profit animal shelter gift shop. That and about 10 Brian Jacques books for a quarter each.

Bought several albums recently:  "Best of Roxy Music," "Colorado '88" by Phish, "Free For All" by Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, and "We're All Together Again For The First Time" by Dave Brubeck with Paul Desmond and Gerry Mulligan.

What were the two jazz ones like? I'm very fond of Take 5 and Moanin'.

Both excellent.  The Brubeck album is a live record, featuring a killer 16 minute version of "Take Five" with Desmond and Mulligan trading off on sax.  The Blakey album is incredibly dense and energetic.  You'd swear it was a live album and not a studio record.  You can hear the musicians cheering each other on during the solos, they're so into it.  I recommend both albums.

Just bought "Sound Affects" by The Jam, which I'd previously only ever owned on cassette.  Needed a good soundtrack to keep my energy up for a day of housework today.  Such a great album.
