News:

Coming up in Episode 208.......it's almost here! After 7 episodes and nearly two months of Doctor Who on Saturday evenings, the final episode of series 7 airs this coming weekend. Join us in the campervan as we review THE NAME OF THE DOCTOR!  My money's on Bruce.....

Feedback always welcome (keep it brief!) at feedback@thedoctorwhopodcast.com - audio feedback under two minutes is prefered and stands a far better chance of making it onto a future DWP.

Hey Michele,
I definitely am. :) I've read some interesting fan fiction about this crossover and I'm looking forward to how the comics will introduce these two universes to each other. I just hope that I can find it when it comes out.

I've been trying to think of analagous crossovers that, to my mind, would fail to work in the same way as I believe this would. So far I've come up with Sherlock/CSI; The Avengers/24; The Mighty Boosh/Friends. Not just different nations, but different styles, atmospheres and socio-political ethos.

The Mighty Boosh/Friends would be good, if only to see Noel/Vince tell the Friends people to 'get stuffed' when they try on one of their woefully stagy jokes on him.

Isn't there already a Star Trek/Who crossover with the Tom Baker Doctor?  There is certainly an entertaining Judge Dredd/Trek crossover, albeit unofficial (ie the Trek crew are thinly disguised), which sees Spock encountering the strong knee of the Law and the rest of the crew arrested quick smart.

Myself, I'd like to see a Doctor Who/Gormenghast crossover, preferably scripted by Neill Gaiman.

yours, trying to forget Tony Lee's 2000AD work

I'm imagining different crossovers that would actually be accurate to the eras that the shows were produced.

Patrick Troughton could have been a guest star on classic Trek (1966-69).

Sylvester McCoy could have shown up on TNG (1987-89).

Paul McGann could have visited either Deep Space Nine or Voyager in '96.

David Tennant could have gone to the rebooted Trek in '09.

:)

Nice! Thanks for sharing, spdk1!

Here's the cover for issue #3. It's a pretty big (but cool) spoiler.

I was going to wait, but I decided to start pre-ordering these myself. TFAW.com has them for about a buck off if you do that.

The first issue of this should be arriving at my local comic book store in the next few days. Very keen to check out this series!

It's definitely worth it, although it seems a bit short, The interior art is fantastic

Here's hoping we see The Doctor say "make it so" at some point :D
And then he should stop, turn around and see Picard glaring at him.

I don't think so as the universes are fairly similar. The characters might not get on with each other and have 'hilarious' personality clashes, but the combination of the two would not be so peculiar due to the general twentysomething dating themes of both shows.

THIS - http://whopix.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/castle-meets-doctor-who.jpg - however, would be magnificent!
